In honor of Veterans Day, our Henry Viscardi School R.A.M.P. students led a parade through the hallways. The celebration brought together our students, staff, and local veterans to honor and thank those who have proudly served our country. Wishing all veterans a happy Veterans Day!

Spooky fun filled the halls of The Viscardi Center last week! Our HVS students enjoyed trick-or-treating in their costumes during the Halloween parade, and at the party coordinated by our amazing SEPTA. The Youth Transition Services students celebrated with food, music, and their spookiest looks.

A milestone moment at The Viscardi Center! Nassau County Executive , local elected officials, and our President & CEO, Dr. Chris Rosa, gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Museum of Disability History — a space dedicated to honoring the trailblazers, breakthroughs, and lived experiences that continue to shape disability history. Opening January 20, 2026, the museum and the Kornreich Institute for Disability Studies will offer visitors and students an engaging look into the past, present, and future of the disability community. It’s Superhero Day at the Henry Viscardi School! Our digital citizens showed up ready to save the day, and cape sightings were at an all-time high.
