We are constantly amazed by our students 👏
This week they used simulation makeup and props to practice injury assessment scenarios in our CTE Lab. This lab helps them build critical thinking, assessment skills, and real-world preparedness in a safe, controlled learning environment. The creativity, attention to detail, and teamwork they showed was incredible and all in the name of learning and safety.

So very proud of this group of seniors! They’re finishing up their first clinical rotation for health science internship. On to new sites next week. Grateful for community members that allow us to be a part of their workplace.

This is my favorite time of the school year. To see their bursting excitement about things they’ve seen and learned at clinicals is what it’s all about. Their experiences range from “Can we come to the hospital at 6 am so we can do more?” to “I’m so glad I know this is not for me now”.

Either way, I’m so grateful to be a part of these kids’ journeys as they become who they’re meant to be.

It’s fundraiser time! HOSA is selling Nothing Bundt Cakes to help raise funds for State Competition travel expenses.

We are proud to say Albertville HOSA had 7 kids advance to the state level in their competition out of over 4,500 competitors state wide! 🧠🩺📚

Wound assessment happening today! We are finally get to learn about and assess the “rotten toe”. Students are learning to prevent, assess, measure, document, and treat decubitus ulcers and other wounds.

Today was an awesome day for our HOSA students! Thank you so much to Survival Flight 16 for visiting! Shoutout to Aggie Alumni, Desi Kyriakopoulos Cordell, CFRN, for making this happen! She shares her love for Albertville City Schools and had this to say “Thank you for inviting us. I can not tell you how much I miss the school. Albertville city schools did a lot for me and I owe it to them for where I am today!”
