Great opportunity!

Marshall Medical Centers is excited to announce we will be having our first-ever Nurse Camp this June! This FREE camp is intended for rising high school seniors (class of 2027) who are considering a career in nursing.

The camp will last 3 days (8:30am-4pm) and will allow students to participate in hands on activities, learn about nursing, and see the profession up close.

Albertville HOSA’s Lifesouth spring blood drive is this Thursday!!

📍Lifesouth will be parked outside the AHS gym. Sign up inside the lobby!
⏰8:00am-3pm
❓The drive is open to students, faculty, and the public! So anyone can stop by and donate!
🩸Students can sign up for an appointment time during lunch Tuesday or Wednesday.
🪪You must be at least 16 years old to donate.

SO PROUD of these kids!! They’ve knocked it out of the park again this year!
We have had 3 students make it to the TOP 6 in the State in two separate events! We’ll find out tomorrow if they make it to the top 3. 🤞🏻

We are pumped to be headed to Montgomery to compete at HOSA State Leadership Conference for the next couple of days!! Wish these kiddos GOOD LUCK as they compete in multiple different health related events! 📚🩺🧠🫀

We are constantly amazed by our students 👏
This week they used simulation makeup and props to practice injury assessment scenarios in our CTE Lab. This lab helps them build critical thinking, assessment skills, and real-world preparedness in a safe, controlled learning environment. The creativity, attention to detail, and teamwork they showed was incredible and all in the name of learning and safety.

So very proud of this group of seniors! They’re finishing up their first clinical rotation for health science internship. On to new sites next week. Grateful for community members that allow us to be a part of their workplace.

This is my favorite time of the school year. To see their bursting excitement about things they’ve seen and learned at clinicals is what it’s all about. Their experiences range from “Can we come to the hospital at 6 am so we can do more?” to “I’m so glad I know this is not for me now”.

Either way, I’m so grateful to be a part of these kids’ journeys as they become who they’re meant to be.
