Often, on the days Iā€™m not at our home when our residents think I should be, they start asking about meā€”sometimes by name, sometimes just describing me. ā£ļø

When that happens, our staff will frequently call or FaceTime me so I can talk with them and ease their hearts, reminding them Iā€™ll be back soon.

Enjoy these sweet FaceTime momentsā€”the smiles say it all. These moments warm my heart in more ways than theyā€™ll ever knowā€¦ because the truth is, I need them just as much as they need me.

Exercising isnā€™t exactly a favorite activity in our homeā€”there arenā€™t too many eager participants when we askā€¦.honestly, who would choose exercise over fun? šŸ˜Š

But hereā€™s the thingā€¦.we believe movement doesnā€™t have to feel like ā€œexerciseā€ to be meaningful.

We get asked about Jean and Jake all the time, so hereā€™s a little update for everyone.

Lately, Jean has been sharing some of her best life lessons with Jakeā€”making sure heā€™s ready for the future in the sweetest way. She told him that when he grows up, all the girls will be after himā€¦ because heā€™s just that cute and sweet as sugar. šŸ„¹

šŸ’«Today, we had the honor of sponsoring lunch for the 2nd Annual Scholar Summit.

This event was founded by our son, Colson, who pours his whole heart and soul into making it something truly special. Watching him grow into someone who cares so deeply about others and his community means more than words can say.

He brings that same love into our home, spending time with our residents and making meaningful connections that truly matter.

Ryelyn, our daughter, along with Kennaā€”who is such a special part of our family and teamā€”also spent the day helping at the Summit and helping with the set up of lunch. It fills our hearts to see them all giving back in such a genuine way.

Supporting our community is something we deeply believe in. These students are our futureā€”the ones who will one day care for all of us. Giving them opportunities like this to learn, grow, and explore their passions is so important.

Weā€™re grateful to play even a small part in that journey. ā¤ļø

Look who has officially joined our Country Retreat familyā€¦my Mom-Mom. ā¤ļø

She has been one of my biggest supporters my entire life and has always taken the very best care of me. I have nothing but the most beautiful memories with her.

I consider it an honor and privilege to now take the very best care of her in my own ALF. It is a blessing that she now gets to be here with our family, where we will get to love on her every single day, and make sure she receives the same love and care she has always given so freely.
