Customized Community Support (CCS), Respite and Customized In-Home Support (CIHS) providers needed on a contract basis for accompanying individuals with developmental disabilities on community outings while adhering to Governor's orders. Limited number of individuals available, but openings include:
• CCS Bernalillo - 2 days weekly from 10 am - 3 pm, services include helping an individual in her home setting and entering the community in a safe manner. The contractor will possibly be helping with online classes and taking individuals to and from the CNM main campus in Albuquerque.
• CCS and CIHS South Valley - Wednesdays and Fridays from 12 noon to 5pm and some Saturdays.
• CCS South Valley - 3-4 days a week 12pm - 6 pm CCS. The contractor will help with activities in the house with the individual, as well as, access in the community. A strong personality is recommended.
• CCS South Valley - 2 -3 days a week, from 10 am to 2 pm. The contractor will help with activities in the house with the individual as well as access the community.
• Respite and CCS Valencia County – two individuals – 3 to 4 days weekly at 4 to 5 hours per shift.
• CIHS Southwest side of Albuquerque - Monday through Friday, mornings (8am to 11:30am), afternoons (1pm to 5 pm) and evenings (7pm to 9:30pm); and occasional weekends.
Starting payment for 1:1 support is $16.28 per hour for CCS which increases to $16.53 per hour after satisfactory completion of all trainings; $15.25 per hour for CIHS which increases to $15.50 per hour after satisfactory completion of all trainings, and $12.00 per hour for Respite which increases to $12.25 per hour upon satisfactory completion of all trainings. Hours available per individual client can be quite limited by the individual's budget, so this is best seen as a part-time opportunity. Hours worked depend on the needs of the particular client. Staff can work with multiple clients (when available) to increase total hours. May require personal care depending on the client. During coronavirus public health emergency, CCS services will be provided primarily in the home of the individual with only short trips into the community, but once the order ends the services must be performed outside of the home. Must have HS diploma or GED; Must be 18 years of age per DDSD regulations. One-year experience in developmental disabilities or related field preferred. Must have own car with valid driver's license, insurance and registration; able to pass Dept. of Health Caregiver Screening and must get a COVID-19 test before being permitted to start work.
