✨ Overflowing With Gratitude ✨

Lately I’ve found myself reflecting on this sacred doula journey that has carried me closer to the heart of what it means to serve, to witness and to love. And the emotion that rises up again and again is gratitude.

To the families who have trusted me with their most vulnerable, powerful, life-changing moments… THANK YOU! You’ve invited me into your birth spaces, your anxieties, your triumphs, your tears and your raw strength. You’ve allowed me to hold space for you as you brought your babies earthside and each birth I’ve attended has left a mark on my heart. Each postpartum moment shared, each late-night message, each tiny newborn sigh; these memories stay with me. They remind me why I show up with my whole heart every single time.

And now, stepping into the beginning of my placenta encapsulation journey, I am humbled all over again. It feels like another layer of devotion to the families I support, another way to nurture, care for and to honor the postpartum transition. I don’t take this step lightly. I feel the weight and the privilege of this work, and I’m deeply moved by the trust already offered to me.

Here’s to growth, healing, motherhood in all its forms and to the beautiful threads of connection that continue to guide my path!

I DID IT!!! Between birth clients, postpartum clients AND a full time job I limped my way through this course and on November 17th I completed the final steps and received my certification as a placenta encapsulation specialist!! I’m in a little bit of a daze and still can’t believe that I made it to the finish line!

This work has been such a calling! Walking alongside families through pregnancy, birth and those tender postpartum days has filled my heart in ways I can’t even describe. 💕

Over the past year and a half I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to expand my services and create an even more nurturing experience for the families I serve and now some big changes are coming soon! 🌸

🩷Support for the whole family!🩷

At a recent birth in July, I had the honor of supporting not only the birthing parents but also the grandparents, who were completely overwhelmed with emotion when they arrived immediately after their grandbaby came into the world.

It was such a powerful moment filled with joy, relief, love, awe and pure wonder all rolled into one. As I offered reassurance and gentle words to help them stay grounded, I could feel my own eyes welling up, I’ll admit I struggled to hold back the tears right along with them! 🥹

A few days ago I received an unexpected thank you gift from those grandparents. It wasn’t about the gift itself, but the thought behind it, a quiet recognition of what we all shared in that sacred moment. It reminded me why I do this work. Birth isn’t just about welcoming a baby, it’s about holding space for every heart in the room. The love, the emotion, the generations, it’s all part of the story. And every time, it humbles me to be invited in. 🩷

I submitted my protocol on Tuesday. This is where all my photo documentation went for submission to the review board. It could take up to 30 days and require possible edits before it’s approved and I’m able to move on to the final two modules of the course (yes there’s STILL more!) If you know me, you know that my worry meter is off the chart and will stay there until I hear from the board, but a night with my favorite country artist Dwight Yoakam calmed the nerves for a little while! ☺️
