Since 2021, New Mexico has lost a significant number of physicians due to some of the highest malpractice insurance rates in the U.S. combined with high taxes and low reimbursement rates.
This weekend, Dr. Raiten met with bipartisan lawmakers to push for real change, change that would help make New Mexico a place where doctors want to work and stay.
Long wait times and delayed care are affecting patients across the state. We are at a pivotal moment for healthcare in New Mexico.
We are proud of Dr. Raiten, the New Mexico Medical Society, and all the physicians and legislators who stepped up to prioritize this issue. While many lawmakers are pushing for change, others are not, which is why continued advocacy is essential.
The fight isn’t over, but we’re committed to seeing it through.

Sometimes we get the pleasure of meeting new furry friends at IPA. This beautiful baby works hard along side Dr. Raiten to make sure her momma is well taken care of. What a well trained service dog!

We regret to report that we will be closed due to inclement weather. Our office is currently without power. In addition several staff members are without power/are dealing with house damage due to downed tree limbs. We have just been informed that repairs for our clinic are scheduled to begin on Monday. We have not been given a timeline for how long the repairs will take and will update everyone with that information as soon as we hear something. We have done everything within our power to expedite this process. Unfortunately there have been delays within the Insurance claim process that are out of our control. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We are available via telemedicine to address any healthcare concerns. If you need to schedule an appointment please call our office. Due to a plumbing emergency, we had to cancel clinic this week and are now looking into next week as well. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and are working hard to try and get everything resolved as soon as possible. We will be offering telemedicine appointments starting Monday.
Dr. Raiten is also canceling his scheduled time off to help get people in sooner. Please reach out if you have any questions. We appreciate everyone’s patience while we work to resolve the situation.
