🎃 Halloween & Mental Health Reminder 🕯️
Halloween can be a lot of fun — costumes, parties, scares, and creativity everywhere! But it can also be overwhelming for some. Loud noises, crowds, frightening imagery, or pressure to join in can take a toll on mental well-being.
💭 Here are a few gentle reminders:
It’s okay if you’re not in the mood to celebrate.
You don’t have to wear a costume or go out if it doesn’t feel right.
If certain themes or decorations trigger anxiety, set boundaries — skip that event, mute that chat, or stay home with a cozy movie instead.
Check in on your friends — holidays can be hard for many people in ways we don’t always see.
This season, let’s make space for fun and mental health. You deserve to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for — whether you’re trick-or-treating, staying in with a blanket, or something in between. 💚

Therapists are human too. 🧠❤️
After holding space for so many stories, emotions, and traumas throughout the day, we also need time to breathe. To rest. To reconnect with ourselves.
We don’t stop caring after work hours—but we do need boundaries to protect our own mental and emotional well-being. Just like we encourage our clients to do.
If you message your therapist after hours and don’t hear back right away, know this: we’re likely decompressing, caring for our own nervous systems, and preparing to show up fully again tomorrow.
Rest is not selfish. It’s necessary—for all of us. 💆🏽‍♀️🌙✨

🍂 The leaves are changing... and so are we. 🍁
Every year, fall arrives with its quiet reminder: change can be beautiful.
The trees don’t resist letting go. They shed their leaves without fear, knowing it’s part of the cycle — rest, reset, renew.
In the same way, it’s okay to let go of what no longer serves you — old habits, overwhelming expectations, even relationships that weigh you down. Change isn’t always easy, but like the trees, we’re allowed to evolve.
Mental health isn’t about being in full bloom all the time. It’s about honoring your seasons. Slowing down. Turning inward. Trusting that rest is not weakness — it’s necessary.
So as you watch the world shift into warm tones and quiet evenings, take a moment to breathe. You’re allowed to change. You’re allowed to pause. And you’re allowed to grow, even in the letting go.

Every October, the skies over Albuquerque, New Mexico, come alive with a breathtaking dance of color during the Balloon Fiesta. Hundreds of hot air balloons rise with the sun, creating a moment of awe, stillness, and wonder.
What if we gave our minds that same kind of lift?
