The NMHCA/NMCAL loves shining a light on the great things happening at our members’ facilities. At Paloma Springs Healthcare, residents recently gathered for a special Movie Day, featuring “Being Rose,” a film directed by one of their very own residents, James Rob McCall. It was a beautiful day of connection, storytelling, and pride as everyone came together to celebrate James’s incredible accomplishment and enjoy his film as a community. Moments like these remind us that every resident brings a lifetime of experiences, talents, and stories that continue to inspire those around them. Thank you, James, for sharing your art and creativity, and to the team at Paloma Springs Healthcare for honoring the voices and passions of those you serve. Today, we’re thrilled to spotlight Socorro Wellness & Rehabilitation! Their residents were recently featured in the El Defensor Chieftain with a brand-new community advice column inspired by “Dear Abby”, but with a special Socorro twist. Introducing: Dear Sammy – Wisdom from Socorro’s Elders. Each week, residents will share life lessons, encouragement, and heartfelt advice with the wider community. From the joys of friendship to overcoming challenges, their voices remind us that true wisdom comes with experience. We are so proud of Socorro Wellness and Rehabilitation Center for creating such a meaningful way to connect residents with their community!
