If today already feels like a lot…
Pause for a second.
Take a breath right now.
(Seriously—just one.)

That’s the doorway.

In a few hours, we’re going deeper.

A guided space to:
• Settle your nervous system
• Release stored tension
• Come back into your body

You don’t need to be “good” at this.
You just need to show up.

Today | 12–12:45 PM MT | Live on Zoom

Last chance to join us.

You’ve felt it today—that low-level tension that doesn’t fully go away.

The tight chest.
The mental noise.
The sense that your system is just… on.

Most people try to push through that.

Tomorrow, you don’t have to.

This is your midweek reset—
a guided breathwork session designed to help your nervous system downshift in real time.

Not overwhelming.
Not intense.
Just effective.

Tomorrow | 12–12:45 PM MT | Live on Zoom

If your body has been asking for a pause, this is it.

One of the more interesting areas of mental health and neuroscience right now is the role of brainwave states in healing and emotional processing.

Most of our daily thinking happens in faster brainwave states associated with alertness and problem-solving.

But some research and therapeutic approaches suggest that slower brainwave states — including theta — may play a role in things like:

• memory integration
• emotional processing
• creativity and insight
• trauma healing
• deep relaxation

These states often occur during things like meditation, breathwork, and certain therapeutic processes.

But slowing the brain down safely requires the right conditions — especially a sense of safety in the nervous system.

Because this topic is so fascinating, I created a group called Vital Theta Collective where we explore conversations around:

• brainwave states and consciousness
• trauma integration
• breathwork and altered states
• neuroscience and nervous system regulation

It’s a thoughtful space for people who are curious about the intersection of science, consciousness, and healing.

If those topics interest you, you’re welcome to join.

I’ll place the group link in the comments.

I’m curious — have you ever experienced a moment of deep calm or insight during meditation, breathwork, or creative flow?

There’s a story behind the name Vital Explorations.

It wasn’t chosen because it sounded good.
It was chosen because it told the truth.

At a certain point in my life and work, I realized something that changed everything:

Most of what we call “treatment” isn’t actually exploring anything.

It’s labeling. Managing. Controlling. Reducing symptoms just enough to function.

But underneath that…
there’s a whole landscape inside a person that often goes untouched.

Patterns.
Protective responses.
Unprocessed experiences.
Wisdom the body has been holding for years.

I didn’t want to build a practice that stayed on the surface of that.

So Vital Explorations came from two core ideas:

Vital — not just as in survival, but aliveness.
Energy. Breath. The parts of you that are still intact, even when everything feels fragmented.

The truth that your system isn’t broken—it’s responding, adapting, trying to protect you.

And Explorations — because healing isn’t linear, and it’s not something I “do” to someone.

It’s something we move through.
With curiosity instead of force.
With attention instead of avoidance.
With respect for the pace of the nervous system, not pressure to override it.

This work is less about fixing…
and more about learning how to safely turn toward what’s there.

Every symptom has a story.
Every pattern has a reason.
Every nervous system has its own timing.

Vital Explorations is a reflection of how I practice, how I live, and how I see people:
Not as problems to solve—
but as complex, adaptive systems worthy of being understood.

And when you approach healing that way…
things don’t just get managed.

They transform.

You don’t need another thing to do this week.

You need a space to breathe.

Midweek tends to be where it all catches up—
the stress, the tension, the mental noise.
That’s exactly why I created this.

This Wednesday, we’re slowing it down.

Guided breathwork to help your nervous system settle, your body soften, and your mind come back online.

No experience needed.
No pressure to perform.

Just 45 minutes to reset and reconnect.

If your system has been running on overdrive… this is your invitation to pause.

One thing that doesn’t get talked about enough is the mental health side of perimenopause and menopause.

Many women begin experiencing changes that can feel confusing or unexpected, such as:

• increased anxiety
• sleep disruption
• mood changes
• brain fog
• irritability or emotional sensitivity
• shifts in energy or motivation

These experiences are very real and often connected to hormonal changes that affect the brain and nervous system.

Unfortunately, many women are told to simply “push through it” or that it’s just part of aging.

But there are actually many ways to understand and support the body during this transition.

That’s part of why several of us here in Albuquerque created Menopause Squad Albuquerque — a local community where practitioners and community members share education, resources, and conversations around menopause health.

Inside the group we talk about things like:

• hormones and brain health
• sleep and metabolism during menopause
• mental health changes in midlife
• supportive practices for this transition

If you’re in Albuquerque or the surrounding area and navigating this phase of life, you’re welcome to join.

I’ll place the group link in the comments.

Also curious — what’s one thing you wish someone had told you earlier about menopause?

🌟 Debunking The Myth: Therapy Is for Everyone! 🌟

Let's set the record straight: “Therapy is only for people with serious problems.” 🛑 Not even close! This stigma needs to be tossed out the window.

Life can throw us all kinds of curveballs—work stress, relationship bumps, those moments when you just feel a bit lost. These aren’t “minor” issues; they’re part of being human! Therapy isn’t just a last resort; it’s a resource to help you thrive.

Here’s why folks turn to therapy:
• Tackling stress and burnout
• Navigating relationship ups and downs
• Managing life changes
• Conquering anxiety and overthinking
• Exploring self-discovery and growth

You don’t have to be in crisis to seek help! Just like a check-up for your body, therapy is an investment in your mental health. 💭✨

Let’s rewrite the narrative! Therapy is a brave and empowering step for anyone wanting to level up in life. Why wait for a tough time?

🚨 Is Burnout Stealing Your Joy? 🚨

Burnout can sneak up on you, draining the vibrancy from your life. If you’ve lost interest in your favorite activities, feel irritable over small stuff, or can’t seem to shake off that tiredness, it’s time for a reality check.

This isn’t just about being sleepy; it’s about deep emotional fatigue. Don’t ignore the signs! Prioritize self-care—it’s not a luxury; it’s a must. ❤️

Over the past several years working in mental health, I’ve noticed something important.

Many people are trying incredibly hard to take care of their mental health, but they often feel like they’re piecing things together on their own.

They read articles.
Listen to podcasts.
Try different strategies.

But it can still feel confusing or isolating.

Mental health is complex because it involves the brain, the nervous system, the body, life experiences, and our environment.

That’s part of why I created the Vital Explorations Community.

It’s a space where we talk about things like:

• how the nervous system actually works
• trauma-informed approaches to healing
• the connection between mind and body
• practical tools for regulation and resilience
• integrative perspectives on mental health

It’s not therapy — it’s an educational and thoughtful community for people who are curious about understanding themselves and their nervous system more deeply.

If that sounds interesting to you, you’re welcome to join.

I’ll share the group link in the comments.

I’m also curious — what’s one topic about mental health you wish people talked about more openly?

Feeling overwhelmed right now? Let’s hit the pause button together! 🚦✨ Life can get pretty wild, but there’s a super simple way to breathe through it: the 5–4–3–2–1 grounding technique.

👉 Take a moment and check this out:

• 5 things you can see: Notice the little details around you. Colors, shapes, whatever catches your eye.

• 4 things you can touch: Feel the different textures around you—your clothes, a chair, etc.

• 3 things you can hear: Focus on the sounds—maybe it's the rustling leaves or distant chatter.

• 2 things you can smell: Take a deep breath and enjoy the scents, whether it’s coffee or fresh air.

• 1 thing you can taste: Savor something—a snack or a sip of your drink.

As you explore each sense, feel the stress melt away. No need to fix everything at once; just find your peace in this moment. You got this!

🌟 What Really Happens in Therapy? The Untold Truths! 🛋️✨

Ever wondered what goes down behind those closed doors? Here’s the scoop—therapy isn’t about stiff judgments or boring manuals. It's the opposite!

In therapy, you’ll find:

• A judgment-free zone where you can express yourself freely.
• Insights into your thoughts and behaviors that can change your perspective.
• Practical tools for tackling stress and anxiety head-on.
• Clarity among chaos, helping you decode heavy emotions.

You’re in the driver’s seat! Whether diving into your past or focusing on the now, it’s all about what you need. So remember, therapy is less about answers and more about exploring the questions that matter.

Embrace the journey! 💖🧠
