Dolores Harden and Yolanda Sandoval, of the Navajo Nation, and Arc of New Mexico Board members, and Justin Harden, a member of the Navajo Nation and experienced self-advocate, were in Flagstaff at the annual Navajo National Disability Awareness Conference.
The gathering celebrated 50 years of tribal control and provision of vocational rehabilitation services for indigenous people who have a disability. We should all celebrate this legacy, its profound impact and its power for the future. 🧡
