We employ, shelter, and advocate for adults with special needs. Ability First is the premier special needs provider serving New Mexico. Compassion for others, ethical service, and exceptional support for our families and providers is always our focus. Albuquerque Adult Day Program
Ability First has opened a new day program unlike any in New Mexico. Projects and community exploration are scheduled throughout the month to stimulate participants' learning. When participants are not participating in the many community events, our day program boutique offers amenities unrivaled in the industry. Supported Living
Supported Living is a living environment in which three or four DD Waiver clients are cared for by awake staff, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Ability First has 10 supported living homes in the Albuquerque, NM area. The idea behind Supported Living is to identify individuals that are compatible with one another enough to live with each other on a daily basis. In Supported Living, they can participate within the community as a group or individually with staff accompanied at all times. The Direct Care Staff are paid staff who completed a thorough background check and all training required by the State of New Mexico.
