We often get questions about league age—so here’s why it’s so important:

✅ Fair Play
League age places players with others at a similar developmental level, keeping games competitive and enjoyable for everyone.

✅ Player Safety
Age-appropriate divisions help reduce injury risk by matching kids with similar size, strength, and skill levels.

✅ Official Eligibility Rules
Little League International requires leagues to use the official age charts to determine a player’s league age. This ensures every player is placed in the correct division and keeps our league compliant with Little League rules.

✅ All-Stars & Tournament Eligibility
Correct league age is critical for postseason play. An incorrect age placement can impact a player’s eligibility later in the season.

📅 League age is NOT the same as current age
It’s based on your child’s birthdate and Little League’s official cutoff dates, not how old they are today.

If you’re unsure which division your player falls into, check the age chart or reach out—we’re happy to help!
