ABCs of ABA: L is for Latency β±οΈ
Latency is the time between when an instruction is given and when the behavior begins. For example, if a therapist says, βClap your hands,β and the child claps after 3 seconds, thatβs a latency of 3 seconds. Measuring latency helps us understand how quickly a child responds, so we can tailor supports and encourage faster, more independent responses over time.
