Cornucopia Adult Day Services and Family Living Provider

Cornucopia Adult Day Services and Family Living Provider These supports are provided while integrating with other family members, and when appropriate, involvement in a work and/or educational plan during the day.

Cornucopia is the only Community Inclusion Agency in the South Valley of Albuquerque providing family-oriented, daytime services to the elderly, frail, and adults with disabilities. The Family Living Provider program offers a natural environment in a family/home for the support and nurturing of an individual, while emphasizing activities within our community. This service may be in one’s own home or that of another family approved by the Medicaid Waiver and Cornucopia, Inc. Cornucopia’s Greenhouse Initiative is a program that gives participants opportunities to learn and develop life skills, including cooperation with others, setting and working toward common goals, meeting responsibilities, decision-making, and problem solving. The Greenhouse program also encourages inter-generational interaction as younger participants co-labor with our elderly participants on the same garden projects and goals. Participants will have access to educational activities in the greenhouse garden and can voluntarily participate in planting, tending, harvesting, packaging, selling, and consuming produce from the greenhouse according to their abilities and preferences. Cornucopia is the only adult day service agency in the South Valley with a greenhouse program specifically designed to meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of adults with developmental disabilities and the elderly.

Spring has arrived at Cornucopia — and the greenhouse is glowing.

There’s something magical about this time of year. The days are stretching longer, the air is warming up, and inside our greenhouse, every shelf is bursting with fresh, tender green. New seedlings are reaching toward the light. Herbs are filling the air with that clean, earthy scent. It’s the season of new beginnings, and we are here for every single leaf of it.

Come wander through and let spring find you.

Okay so...we may have gotten a little carried away with our aloe 🌿😅

We love our aloe vera...maybe a little too much. Between our growing collection and some overcrowded shelf placements, a few of our plants have been soaking up more heat than they’d like and have started blushing a little pink or going golden brown. Totally our fault, and honestly? We get it, it happens to the best of us.

The good news: this is just mild heat stress and dehydration, and completely normal as the temps have been creeping up. It’s not a sign of a sick plant, it’s just a sign of a plant that needs a fresh start and a little TLC. 🌡️

Once they’re home with you and out of the heat, with a good drink of water and some indirect light...the green will bloom back.

And in the meantime? A slightly sun-kissed aloe is still fully loaded with all the same incredible healing, soothing, skin-loving goodness you know and love.

So here’s the deal: we’d love to send these beauties home with someone who’ll give them the love they deserve. With any plant purchase, any size, any plant. Grab an aloe on us. BOGO, free.

Come find your new little project. We’ll be here! 🌱
