A book about 142 movies and TV shows that help people talk about death came out on National Healthcare Decisions Day. Right after Tax Day. Because, as the author says, "Death and taxes. Might as well plan for both."
Gail Rubin (aka The Doyenne of Death®) just released "98.6 Mortality Movies to See Before You Die," a guide designed to use film as a low-pressure way to get families talking about end-of-life planning before a crisis forces their hand. There's even a "Mortality Movie Night" model built in for funeral homes who want to open their doors to the community in a whole new way.
Oh, and you get to choose your cover: classic movie marquee, or a Grim Reaper eating popcorn.
