IF THE SUN WAS GOING TO KILL YOU, YOU'D BE DEAD BY NOW

Humans have lived under the sun for thousands of years. If our skin were truly “too fragile” for sunlight, humanity wouldn’t have survived this long.
Yet many uneducated, fear-based, and completely brainwashed dermatologists and skin care specialists still tell people that the sun is the enemy. It’s not. The real problem is what modern diets have done to the skin.
Here’s what we can confirm from current research:
• Highly processed diets filled with unstable, inflammatory oils (PUFAs/seed oils) do make the skin more vulnerable to oxidative stress and promoting sun burns.
• Many people eating modern processed diets, including high carb diets, show increased inflammation, higher oxidative load, and more sensitivity to environmental stressors, including UV exposure.
• Excess PUFA consumption may increase susceptibility to lipid peroxidation, which may worsen how the skin responds to UV light.
• The rise in processed seed oils since the 1970s correlates with increases in many skin issues.
Including the use of sunscreens with ingredients that can cause an array of health issues including cancer.
What we do know for certain:
🌞 Sunlight is essential for human health.
It drives vitamin D production, supports immune function, affects circadian rhythms, and influences mood and hormone balance.
🌞 Sun deprivation is dangerous.
Clinically, low vitamin D levels correlate with higher rates of illness and poor overall health.
So no — the sun isn’t the villain.
Fear-based messaging about the sun is outdated, incomplete, and just wrong.
If you want healthier skin, start with what you’re putting in your body, not just what touches it. The sun is natural. Modern inflammatory diets are not.
