First + Last Saturday of every month at 1 PM

🤸🏻 Under the watchful eyes of Coaches David and Avery, students will explore the art of handstands in a communal and supportive environment. This is where practice becomes personal, and progress becomes collective.

Together, we will:

Study the foundations of balance and alignment.

Refine entries into handstand, and shape shifting while in a handstand.

Drill strength and endurance for longer holds and a sustainable practice.

Partner spotting techniques will be taught and practiced, enabling students to safely and appropriately support one another, regardless of their skill level. Whether you are building your first 60-second hold or refining freestanding consistency, this class offers a structured approach within a fun and open format.

You can expect personalized and individual attention provided to each student, along with group exercises and conditioning work in every class. Proper progressions will be provided for every skill level.

Handstand is both art and architecture.

This training consists of the following key elements:

Join Virgile Peyramaure, David’s long-time hand balancing coach, and David once again as they lead an epic handstand retreat, this time in ITALY!

Set in the heart of southern Puglia, Italy, hosted at the historic Relais Histò San Pietro sul Mar Piccolo, this retreat blends focused daily training with the beauty, stillness, and ease of Italian countryside living.

Twice daily practice will take place in an 11th-century frescoed basilica, offering a rare and inspiring setting for intensive training, while the surrounding region, from olive groves to the Ionian coast, provides the perfect backdrop for restoration and connection.

Welcome Kara! ✨

We are excited to welcome SWEAT Yoga School graduate, Kara Shair-Rosenfield to the team!

She will be teaching Static every Monday at 4:15 🧘🏻‍♀️

Kara’s long and winding path led her towards, and away from, yoga many times before she was introduced to SWEAT and hot yoga in January 2020. In 2022 as she was navigating post-pandemic life as a full-time lawyer, mother of three adolescents, partner of a first responder, and caregiver to aging relatives, Kara began developing a more serious personal practice as a way to better manage chronic stress and longstanding anxiety.

She credits the compassionate and skillful teachers at SWEAT with helping her experience yoga as a truly healing and transformative practice and, in 2024, enrolled in SWEAT’s 200-hour teacher training to deepen her practice and understanding of yoga.

Inspired by what she discovered during Yoga School and realizing that she wanted to learn more and share yoga’s teachings with others, Kara completed additional trainings focused on working with beginners, athletes, and seniors.

She began teaching yoga in senior communities and to her kids’ soccer teams before branching out into public teaching.

She is honored and delighted to have the opportunity to teach at SWEAT and give back to the community that has given her so much. Wherever you are on your path, Kara looks forward to connecting with you in the hot room and supporting you in your journey through mindful, breath-guided movement.
