Also known as "venous lakes", lip hemangiomas are common, benign vascular tumors that appear as red, purple or blue soft bumps on the lips. They are generally painless and medically harmless, but can cause bleeding, ulceration and discomfort, especially if accidentally bitten.

Although our DyeVL PhotoFacial may also be used on these, Dr. Cutchen prefers a series of sclerotherapy sessions to shrink the blood vessels for optimal clearance. This patient had a series of 3 treatments.
