Interested in getting involved with the NM Peer Coalition? Now’s the time!! Complete the Board application on our website and reach out with any questions. We’re looking to fill 4 Board Positions: Secretary, Treasurer and 2 general board seats. We’ll also have options for our advisory committee, which is less of a commitment, but still as involved in moving forward the mission of NMPC and Soul Recovery Cafe. Voting happens at our January meeting.

Wednesday, November 12th was an extremely busy day for NMPC and Soul Recovery!
Our Program Director, Johnny Armijo and our Assistant Program Coordinator, Andrea Alderete presented at the monthly CHW networking lunch about the services we offer.

Our Executive Director, Elise Padilla, did a national webinar on Building Peer Communities & Mutual Aid Ecosystems. This will be available on our website soon so keep an eye out for it.

Lastly, our Board chair, Lily Spurgeon, Gustavo Hernández, and Alicia Lopez presented at the 17th Annual Student Leadership Institute 2025. We presented on curanderismo, culture and emotional wellbeing.

We are launching a specialized, peer-led support group designed specifically for Direct Care Providers (CPSWs, CHWs, CCSS, and other frontline staff). This group aims to combat the high rates of burnout and emotional fatigue, helping staff "Stop taking your work home!"

Group: Wednesday Night Recovery Circle
Focus: Peer-led talking circle on boundaries and self-care.
When: Every Wednesday at 7:00 PM
