We always enjoy a visit from Jewel Cutter, widow of Sid Cutter, the founder of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in 1972. The Cutters were always close with Dr. Tony Chan and the families have grown up together. What incredible legacies the Cutters have made in Albuquerque and this city is built upon friendships, relationships, and love of New Mexico 🫶

In the early 90s and at the request of Dr. Tony Chan, Dr. Michael Browde (who is now Emeritus at UNM School of Law) counseled a then young Dr. Mamie Chan on becoming a lawyer. Now, nearly 35 years later, we are grateful for the longstanding friendship of the families. Dr. Browde told Dr. Mamie Chan, “I think you made the right choice!” 😊
