Yesterday, the Cannabis Control Division issued a mandatory recall of a medical cannabis edible for having a THC level above the legal limit.

The edible, manufactured by GH LLC and sold under the name “GH Kush Pops,” contained 200 mg of total THC per package, with two individual 100 mg lollipops. Under New Mexico law, medical cannabis products may contain no more than 50 mg of THC per serving.

No health-related complaints have been reported to the division in connection with this recall.

All licensed cannabis retailers are required to immediately remove this product from shelves.

⚠️ URGENT NMDOH UPDATE

System updates on Feb 4 are causing issues with:
• Patient purchases
• Unit allotment access
• Other patient portal services

Purchasing issues appear to be affecting dispensaries using third-party systems. We’ll share updates as soon as we have more information.

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE for NM Medical Card Applications 🚨

Starting January 13, there are key changes to how medical card applications are submitted through the New Mexico Medical Cannabis Program:

✔️ No signature required
Patients will now agree electronically to the NM Medical Program rules & regulations.

✔️ No ID upload required
Patients must provide their NM ID number and issue date. NMDOH will verify this information.
➡️ A valid New Mexico ID is still required.

✔️ Updated digital IDs
All digital medical cannabis IDs issued after Jan 13 will include the photo from your valid NM ID.

UPCOMING RULE HEARING:

The Cannabis Control Division will hold a public rule hearing on September 3, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at NMRLD's Santa Fe office -- 2550 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505.

The hearing will be live streamed via Microsoft Teams and via telephone for those wishing to observe the hearing. Please note: Individuals wishing to participate and offer comment on the proposed rules must appear in person at the hearing location. Written comments can also be made through email or on the rule hearing page of the CCD’s website until the close of the hearing on 9/3/25.

NMDOH Patient Portal is down. Patients will not have access to online applications or their medical cards until this issue is resolved. This outage is a state wide issue and also is affecting retail locations for purchases.

If you have an appointment with us today, please note appointments will go on as scheduled but applications and cards will be delayed due to this outage.

Canna Connection is monitoring this outage closely and we will notify you when this has been resolved.

The NMDOH Medical Cannabis patient portal is currently down. Patients are not able to access their online patient portals as of 950am, June 3. If patients have already downloaded their card and have a picture on their phone this outage will not affect you. If you are a medical provider trying to upload patient applications please monitor the site. If you are a patient who does not have your card downloaded, this outage will affect your purchasing ability.
NMDOH is aware of is outage.
