Today is dedicated to Mary the Mother of God for Eastern Christians! Since she is Inhora's model of contemplative care, we HAD to give this most blessed woman a shout out. How could we honor the newborn child but ignore the amazing mom that bore him and raised him in the sweetest love imaginable, all despite poverty, disappointment, and immigration?

This makes an obvious connection with someone's birth and death - the two most important days in our life.

Other fun fact: Christmas is sometimes referred to as the Winter Pascha while Easter is traditionally called Pascha (as in the Jewish holiday "Pesach" or Passover).
