Streetwise is hiring creative, compassionate, caring staff, eager to help our community children excel personally and academically. We are an agency that works with children and adolescents that struggle with emotional, psychological, and behavioral or substance abuse problems in home, community and/or school setting. We strive to help children and adolescents become more independent when making choices while also helping you, the BMS worker, grow professionally and gain experience for various career paths.
Pay is $14.18 hourly and $10.50 Admin hours.
Requirements include: High School diploma or equivalent, able to pass CYFD/APS background screening ($44 each which you will be reimbursed after a probationary period of 180 days), must be at least 21 years of age and must have a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance/registration. Streetwise Inc. is looking to hire a Program Therapist (LMHC, LPCC, LMSW, LISW). This position does pay hourly and open for Full-Time and Part-Time. Bilingual preferred, but not required. Responsibilities include determining an individual’s eligibility for Streetwise Inc. programs, making diagnosis, creating, implementing and overseeing treatment planning, providing therapy to the individual and/or their families and determining the individual’s readiness for discharge from the program. The program therapist is also responsible for establishing professional contacts, creating a positive atmosphere in public relations and for maintaining positive professional consultative relationships with clients, community providers and other supports. * NEW PROMGRAM Multisystemic Therapy (MST COMING TO STREETWISE DETAILS WILL BE UDATED AS INFORMATION BECOMES AVAIABLE) *The program therapist is responsible for determining an individual’s eligibility for Streetwise Inc. programs, making diagnosis, creating, implementing and overseeing treatment planning, providing therapy to the individual and/or their families and determining the individual’s readiness for discharge from the program. The program therapist is also responsible for establishing professional contacts, creating a positive atmosphere in public relations and for maintaining positive professional consultative relationships with clients, community providers and other supports.

Minimum requirements
• Master’s degree in counseling or a related field
• Clinically licensed or license eligible
• A minimum of five (5) years working with individuals in the field of Mental/Behavioral Health including Substance Abuse/Co-Occurring Disorders
• CPI Certification
• CPR/First Aid Competency
• CRC Clearance (if required)

Our Story

We are a non-profit corporation which was founded in 2002. We started off initially with an emphasis on substance abusing youth. Since then, Streetwise Inc. has become a full social and mental health service delivery agency within the Albuquerque Metro Areas.

Currently, we offer comprehensive mental health evaluations, support groups, Behavioral Management Skills Development Services (BMS), several therapy modalities, Adolescent and Adult Alcohol and/or Drug Services, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and an array of behavioral health treatments. We service Medicaid, and commercial insurances.
