Did you know:

In 2020, the New Mexico Legislature enacted the Affordable Spay/Neuter Law, allocating funds to help struggling families get their pets spayed and/or neutered, and it will expire if we don’t ACT. This is good policy: states with similar laws have seen decreases in euthanasia rates.

One of our CE sponsors is sponsoring another event. This event was created so that children in this rural area have a safe place to trick-or-treat. If you are nearby, please consider bringing the kiddos in your life! If you are a business, there are still a few spots to participate if you’d like.

Last week, Hannah, your 2025 President-Elect, attended the Southwest Veterinary Symposium in Fort Worth, Texas, as a representative for the NMRVTA. While there, they were invited to speak at the NM Veterinary Medical Association meeting on important changes that are needed to support NM veterinary technicians and assistants, and how both organizations can potentially collaborate to work on mutual goals. It was a productive discussion, and we are looking forward to working more closely with this organization in the future.

Thanks NAVTA and AAVSB!
