All items handmade and designed by Rachel Reyes in NM. The French word for “friend” is ami (pronounced AH-mee).

It’s also the name of the handbag and home accessory line owned by Rachel Reyes. All bags are designed and handcrafted by Rachel Reyes.

✨ My final two markets of the year ✨

This has been my best year yet in the 10 years of making AMI Bags, and I’m heading into these last two shows feeling incredibly grateful, happy, and thankful for every bag you’ve supported along the way.

Just a few months at the Railyard Artisan Market in Santa Fe and I’ve learned so much—about art, business, and community. I’ve made friends, gotten incredible feedback, and grown more confident (and creative!) in my work.

Hey friends! I’ve been a little quiet on here, but I’ve been productive behind the scenes—so here’s a quick update on what I’ve been working on:

• Santa Fe Railyard Artisan Market

I just delivered a fresh batch of bags yesterday!

In a world that feels heavy, cruel and overwhelming, I find my way by creating, connecting, and serving. I believe joy is an act of resilience — and every time I sit down to make a bag, lend a hand to a neighbor, or quietly take action for change, I’m choosing hope over despair. I don’t always post about what’s going on because I believe the real work often happens off-screen: in our hands, in our homes, and in our communities. So I keep showing up. I keep building.
