Last week we were lucky enough to play our part in transferring a little girl to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from Children's Hospital Los Angeles (and back), for an experimental bone-marrow procedure! Long-trips like this one often involve tons of logistics, coordination, and planning in order to execute; and we're all just happy to have been along for the ride. The entire MFAA team sends it's deepest gratitude to all of the hospitals, airports, hotels, & restaurants who hosted us during our travels; and most of all to our wonderful pilots (Jack Miller & Ethan MacLoud) and amazing medical crew (Sarah Story & Glenn Franco) for another amazing day above the clouds.

Long trips, like last Thursday's jump from Michigan to the Bay, typically involve night-operations. Night-ops typically mean that everyone pitches in to help get the job done.

In this instance, our Medical-Director/Owner was on the ground waiting for the crew with Rudy's BBQ (and our ground-unit just in case) while the plane refueled for takeoff!

Moments like these show how every individual's hard work and dedication culminate in a successful operation for all parties involved.

Shout-out to our medical team Julie Foster & Chris Moreno for another wonderful mission, and our pilots: Bill Dourte, Grant Taylor, Brad Funkhouser, & Brian Cox for the smooth ride.
