Springtime is always a beautiful season with Girl Scout cookies. Our community was filled with smiles and warm memories as the Girl Scouts stopped by for their cookie sale. For some residents, it was a heartfelt trip down memory lane, recalling their own days in the Girl Scouts. For others, it was a special way to show appreciation for the new generation’s spirit and dedication. We feel truly honored to welcome these young leaders into our community and share in the joy they bring. Thank you Girl Scout Troop 310!

It is a wonderful day filled with community warmth and a touch of luck, bringing everyone together for a memorable and festive experience.

Our residents embraced the spirit of St. Patrick’s season by transforming flat rocks into beautifully painted shamrocks, showcasing creativity and community pride in a festive and meaningful activity. Joyce carefully measured each stroke, perfecting a multi-shaded, layered shamrock with impressive attention to detail. Meanwhile, Roy added his own creative spin, bringing a unique flair to his design. Shirley smiles as she embraces her passion for painting, turning flat rocks into vibrant expressions of St. Patrick’s spirit and making the activity both fun and inspiring for everyone involved.

Our community hosted an "Honoring Our Heroes" open house to pay tribute to the dedicated law enforcement officers who serve and protect us. Ten officers joined us, engaging warmly with residents and staff, creating a meaningful moment of connection and appreciation. Our kitchen delighted guests with freshly baked cinnamon rolls, raspberry danishes, and a delicious selection of red and green chili breakfast burritos, adding a flavorful touch to this special occasion. The event was a wonderful blend of respect, community spirit, and celebration.

The court was buzzing with energy as Kathy, Roy, Joyce, and Gary brought their A-game to the basketball shoot-off! With Sharon keeping things fair as our sharp-eyed referee, the competition heated up fast. Roy stole the show with a dazzling 33 points, but Joyce wasn’t far behind, putting up a strong fight with 19 points. Everyone had a blast battling it out and showing off their skills—what a game to remember as the perfect kickoff to March Madness!

Our Activities Director, Vincent took on an epic adventure, trekking 3.7 miles through New Mexico’s Chimney Rock Trail in Abiquiu, New Mexico to track down the Survivor 50 hidden immunity idol! Fueled by passion and dedication to his favorite show, he embraced every step of the challenge with excitement and determination. This isn’t just a hike—it’s a tribute to the spirit of Survivor, and Vincent nailed it! Congratulations!

We had an awesome painting class led by our very own talented resident Shirley, who guided us through a captivating still life exercise featuring vibrant fruits. Using only the primary colors—blue, red, and yellow—we learned the magic of mixing to create a full spectrum of hues. It was not only an educational experience but also a joyful celebration of creativity, as our residents enthusiastically embraced the challenge and showcased their unique artistic flair. This wonderful activity, led by Shirley, truly brought everyone together and highlighted the incredible talents within our community. We’re thrilled to continue shining a spotlight on our residents’ special gifts and look forward to many more inspiring sessions ahead! Thank you beautiful Shirley!

We kicked off this week with Super Bowl 2026! It brought our community together for an epic celebration filled with nachos, cupcakes, cookies, pretzels, and all the snacks and drinks you could want! Activities Director Vincent kicked off the fun with an awesome kickoff punt to start the game, setting the tone for a night of friendly competition and good vibes. Great time had by all!
