Meet, Shirley!
Shirley, along with her loyal companion Jordan, has swiftly become a cherished fixture in our community. Known for her warm smile and engaging stories, Shirley has endeared herself to many, while Jordan, with her playful antics, has won the hearts of dog lovers throughout the community. Shirley's four children have been instrumental in helping her settle in, offering support and companionship that has made her transition seamless. Her life has been a tapestry of diverse experiences, from living in Columbus, Texas, to nearly every state in the West—including an extended stay in the mountains of Idaho, where she worked as a station agent for Union Pacific Railroad. With her husband, a childhood sweetheart since a young age, she explored Mexico and Canada in their fifth-wheel camper. A collector of unique cookie jars, Shirley ran a business for 10 years, trading with collectors from across the northern hemisphere. She even brought some with her, each jar holding a special memory of her past, She also owned a frame store, teaching and selling frames and paintings for eight years. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing, and a growing passion for studying the Bible. Shirley has brought a piece of her history to share with us, making her not just a resident, but a storyteller weaving the fabric of our community. We all love Shirley and Jordan!
