Therapeutic Living Services, Inc. Community Mental Health Center provides comprehensive services that assist adults and their families in the recovery from severe disabling mental illness.

Therapeutic Living Services, Inc. (TLS) is a community mental health center that provides comprehensive community support services and housing options that empower individuals to improve their lives. Through rehabilitation and education, individuals learn about personal motivation and the challenge of mental illness. Our programs emphasize individual readiness and teach the philosophy that everyone possesses the ability to recover and get their life back on track. Our services range from 24-hour staffed structured group homes to independent living. Comprehensive community support facilitates positive change. Often consumers return to work or school, learning to manage their mental illness through medication, therapy, support, and socialization. The type of housing offered and the supportive services provided is individualized to each consumer’s needs. TLS empowers consumers to build their own social network and become functional contributors to their community.

Independently provide ongoing and direct community support services to individuals with severely disabling mental illness as part of an inter-disciplinary treatment team. Spend considerable time (at least 60%) in the community to engage/coordinate support services (family, physicians, psychiatrists…) for each client as needed.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

1. Independently provide support to clients through individual, family, and group modalities. In office and home visitations are required.

2. Work as a member of the TLS Treatment Team and participate in group supervision.

3. Independently perform a variety of casework duties including: analyzing/assessing clients’ psych-social and multi-systemic needs; level of family functioning; formulation of individual clinical service/treatment plans for each client; implementation of services to assigned clients; provide advocacy for clients as needed.

4. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other agencies and institutions in the community to facilitate treatment.

5. Independently initiate and complete documentation including but not limited to: mini-mental status exams, daily progress notes, transfer summaries, and provide input in development of clinical service/treatment plans.

6. Attend all TLS in-service and staff meetings.

7. Maintain ongoing communication regarding treatment process with clinical supervisor.

8. Complete client billing on a weekly basis and submit to supervisor.

9. Review weekly productivity report provided by the QI & Records Coordinator. Revise if needed, approve and return it within two (2) business days.

10. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

1. Minimum staff qualifications for CSW: (a) shall be a minimum of 18 years of age; and (b) shall hold a bachelor's degree in a human service field from an accredited university and one (1) year relevant experience working with the target population; or (c) shall hold an associate's degree in a human service field from an accredited college and have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with the target population; or (d) shall be a high school graduate or have a general education development (GED) and shall have a minimum of three years of experience working with the target population; or (e) shall be certified as a certified peer specialist (CPS) or certified family specialist (CFS).

2. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

3. Intermediate computer skills in MS Office and Windows required.

4. Knowledge of Albuquerque social service systems, multicultural experience preferred.

Objective/Purpose Statement:

Provide administrative support to all areas of the agency. Provide accurate directing of all incoming calls; assist clients & potential clients; & handle front desk office duties.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities/Essential Functions (include but not limited to the following):

Administrative

1. Answers a multi-line phone system & directs calls to appropriate locations.

2. Greets, assists, directs, & signs-in visitors.

3. Assists Executive Director, Finance & Administrative Director, & PSR staff with administrative tasks.

4. Logs in & distributes mail.

5. Maintains inventory of supplies, orders office supplies, business cards & household supplies for sites with Finance Director’s approval.

6. Maintains staff extension list, psychiatrists schedule & client tracking form.

7. Maintains office equipment, such as copier, fax, phones, water dispenser & postage machine.

8. Maintains voice mail system including main phone recording, setting up new voice mails & changing name on phone extensions. Maintains long distance pass codes.

9. Maintains the tidiness of the front office, copy room, and staff restroom area. Including sweeping, moping, dusting, windows & kitchen area.

10. Runs errands for the office when necessary.

11. Arranges for pick-up & delivery of shred bins.

12. Arranges for special events such as holiday parties for staff.

13. Acts as TLS representative for the yearly United Way Campaign.

14. Maintains the agency gas credit cards & log.

15. Supervises client custodial cleaning schedule & sets their schedule at the Domingo office.

16. Maintains monthly grocery receipt log for group homes & gives to Finance Director when completed.

17. Maintains client rent ledgers, receives rent payments to give to Finance Director.

18. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job-Related Qualifications:

High School/GED, plus 1 year experience using multi-line phone system, & one-year general office experience. Typing speed of at least 40 wpm.

Preferred Job-Related Qualifications:

Be able to use Microsoft Office 365.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to plan & set priorities. Strong computer skills (particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook). Excellent written & oral communication skills. Must have the ability to interact with clients who have severely disabling mental illnesses. Training in de-escalation. Knowledge of area agencies. Knowledge of basic office equipment. Full Time employee's will be given a $2,000.00 sign on bonus after the completion of the three (3) month probationary period.

Objective/Purpose Statement: This position is responsible for providing direct clinical services & care management to individual clients & their families as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. It manages the Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) program & PSR staff. This supervision includes evaluations, chart audits, interviewing, performance improvement, & training. In addition, it serves as the TLS clinical staff trainer.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Therapist:

1. Participate in TLS Treatment Team meetings as directed by the Executive Director.

2. Oversee care management for individuals & family participants as part of the TLS Treatment Team.

3. Provide diagnostic evaluations & development of clinical service/treatment plans.

4. Ensure that clinical records are in-compliance with certification standards.

5. Participate in quality assurance review as part of the QI Committee. Attend all Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) meetings, report progress on previously established goals/objectives & develop QI initiatives in areas of responsibility.

6. Provide clinical counseling to clients through individual, family & group modalities.

7. Provide crises, “no notice” clinical counseling to clients who walk-in requiring immediate treatment.

8. Conduct intake interviews as delegated by the Executive Director.

9. Ensure all documentation & billings are accurate & submitted expeditiously.

10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Related Qualifications:

A master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field. Independent Master’s level licensure in the State of New Mexico, (i.e. LPCC, LMFT, or LISW).
