✨💛 Fun with a purpose at Arcadia Care! 💛✨
This afternoon, our residents got creative making sensory bags using hair gel, beads, and glitter — and had a great time doing it! 🎨✨
Not only was this a fun hands-on activity, but these sensory bags are also a helpful tool for managing stress and anxiety, providing a calming and soothing experience.
It’s always a win when we can combine creativity, relaxation, and smiles all in one activity! 😊

🎉 It’s Graduation Day for Cheri at Arcadia Care at Aledo! 🎉

Today we are celebrating Cheri and the incredible progress she made during her stay with us.

Cheri shared that before coming to Arcadia Care at Aledo, she didn’t feel like herself, especially physically. After just one week of therapy services, she was back on her feet and starting to feel like herself again.

Cheri also shared that the staff at Arcadia Care at Aledo were wonderful and patient throughout her stay. When asked to describe the facility in one word, she chose “compassionate.”

We are so proud of Cheri’s hard work and progress, and we wish her all the best as she continues her journey. Congratulations, Cheri!

Brandie, Hailey, and Julie had the honor of serving dinner to the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. It was truly an amazing and humbling experience.

We prepared a pasta bake, salad, and dessert for the families. Knowing that the House operates solely on donations and volunteers made the opportunity to serve even more meaningful.

We were also given a tour, and every space had a beautiful story behind it. Families have memorialized their loved ones by sponsoring and decorating rooms in their honor. The love, generosity, and strength represented in that building are powerful reminders of what community truly looks like.

The families staying there are walking through some of life’s hardest moments with incredible courage. They are heroes.

Grateful for the opportunity to serve.

It's graduation day for Cynthia at Arcadia Care at Aledo!

Cindy is an incredible success story! She shared that if it weren’t for coming to Arcadia Care at Aledo and receiving therapy services, she doesn’t know where she would be today.

She gave special recognition to our wound nurse, Bev, calling her “a true blessing” who played an important role in helping her body heal.

When asked to describe Arcadia Care at Aledo in one word, Cindy chose “loving.” She said every member of our team showed kindness, compassion, and courtesy throughout her stay.

Stories like Cindy’s remind us why we do what we do every day. We wish Cynthia luck on her next journey

Today’s Chili Cook-Off may have been small, but it was full of big flavor and friendly competition!

We had three delicious entries from:

• Katy Carlson from Compassus Hospice

Arcadia Care at Aledo’s marketers, along with two other Arcadia marketers, had the privilege of preparing a delightful dinner for patients and their families at the Peoria Ronald McDonald House. They were also honored to receive a tour of the house, witnessing firsthand the remarkable support provided to families during their most challenging times. This experience served as a beautiful reminder of the profound impact of compassion and community. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to volunteer and contribute to the Peoria Ronald McDonald House in the future.
