💫 Featured Clinician Spotlight 💫
Meet Katherine (Katie) Gaynor, MA, ATR-BC!
Katie is a resident in counseling and a board-certified art therapist. Her work is rooted in a person-centered approach that prioritizes trust, safety, and genuine connection. She takes time to learn about each client’s interests, relationships, and self-expression styles in order to create a therapeutic space that feels both safe and personal.
Through the art-making process, clients are invited to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in non-verbal and creative ways. Katie is trained in art-based assessment, the safe and effective use of art materials, and techniques that foster self-exploration and meaningful participation. While she always offers art as a tool for healing, clients are never required to engage in art-making during sessions.
Clinical Areas Of Interest: child and adolescent mental health, grief and loss, family transitions, and anger management.
