We are excited to have Kayla join our team! Kayla will be accepting most commercial insurance plans and OH/KY Medicaid and Medicare.

Kayla Slusher is a certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed by the states of Ohio and Kentucky. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Morehead State University and her master’s degree in nursing from Northern Kentucky University. She has worked in healthcare for over 14 years with clinical experience in acute care including emergency medicine & intensive care. As well as inpatient geriatric psychiatric care. Kayla’s journey in mental health initially began seeing the impact of physical trauma on mental health. Kayla also offers a unique perspective as a mother of a special needs child. This propelled her love for mental health and the importance of empowering her patients not only physically but mentally and emotionally. Her scope of practice includes all ages across the life span.

Mark Switzer
Mark is a licensed independent social worker with over 25 years of experience working with children, families, and adults in Ohio and Kentucky. He is certified in Crisis Management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Choice Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) concepts in his practice. Mark's career includes work in residential facilities, child services, juvenile detention centers, and counseling agencies. He currently works as an outpatient clinician at Children's Hospital Medical Center, focusing on trauma-informed care, ADHD, and using CBT and DBT techniques.
