We will be having a food drive starting now until the end of the year. All food donations will be given to local organizations and families. Included in the donations please consider donating for the babies as well. Formula for new moms will be affected by the loss of these benefits. We will also have a raffle. For every 15 items donated your name will be entered to win a fall basket surprise. In these uncertain times we must all come together to ensure no one goes hungry.

LDH is announcing that due to the federal government shutdown in Washington, D.C., SNAP benefits will not be issued to recipients starting November 1. Any unused SNAP benefits from previous months will remain on recipients’ EBT cards and can be used as usual.

The Department will communicate with beneficiaries and retailers as more information is available.

Back to school supply drive! Yes that time is already here! Choice Providers is hosting our first Back to School supply drive for children in our community! Backpacks, pencils, pens, paper, markers!!! All of the things!! Donations can be dropped off at our office 2006 Gus Kaplan Dr. Ste. A in Alexandria. Everyone who donates will have their name entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift certificate.

During Open Enrollment, Medicaid members can change their health and dental plan. Changes will go into effect on January 1, 2025.

✉️Members were mailed an open enrollment packet with instructions and other helpful information. Members may receive this information by email or text message if they opted in to that service.
