I couldn’t wait to see the difference between my last aura photograph and this one.

Lately I’ve been noticing a quiet kind of change.

Not the flashy, explosive kind.
 Not the “everything is new overnight” kind.

More like… a soft settling. a deep exhale. a feeling of being inside myself in a way I don’t think I ever fully was before.

I recently compared two aura photos — one from September and one from now — and the shift surprised me.

Less sharp edges. More softness. More light. More white, pearlescent, diffused energy.

And honestly? It mirrors what I’ve been feeling internally.

Over the past months I’ve been doing EMDR therapy, slowing down, listening to my body more, letting go of survival patterns I didn’t even realize were still running the show.

What I’m learning:
Healing doesn’t always feel dramatic. Sometimes it feels quiet. Sometimes it feels neutral. Sometimes it feels like fewer thoughts, fewer urgencies, fewer internal alarms.

It doesn’t mean I care less. It doesn’t mean I’m less creative. It doesn’t mean I’m losing my fire.

It means my nervous system is learning that it’s safer to be here.
And from that place…

My creativity feels slower but deeper. My desires feel simpler but truer. My energy feels softer but more stable.

If you’re in a season where you feel “different” in a way you can’t quite name — If you feel quieter. If you feel less reactive. If you feel like parts of you are gently reorganizing…

You’re not broken. You’re not regressing. You’re not losing your edge.
You might be integrating. You might be settling. You might be coming home to yourself.

And that is its own kind of magic.

I know it’s hard right now.

There’s grief in the air. Anger. Fatigue. A constant low-grade hum of this is not okay running beneath everything.

We all feel torn-

We see the awful news, literally everyday right now, and yet the world keeps turning and we are expected to act as if everything is normal.

But it’s not normal.

It’s hard to get weighed down in all of it.

What keeps coming to mind for me is the Justice card in tarot.

Justice isn’t a soft card. It isn’t bypassy. It isn’t “love and light.”
Justice is about truth. Justice is about accountability. Justice is about naming harm and believing repair is possible.

In tarot, Justice reminds us that balance isn’t passive. It doesn’t happen on its own.
 Balance is something we participate in.
Sometimes Justice looks like courtroom justice. Sometimes it looks like protest and policy. Sometimes it looks like mutual aid, community care, and protecting the most vulnerable.
And sometimes Justice looks quiet.

It looks like choosing not to become numb. It looks like staying tender in a world that rewards hardness. It looks like continuing to love, organize, create, and cast even when you’re tired.

This card reminds us that magic doesn’t replace action.
Magic supports action. Magic steadies us so we don’t burn out. Magic helps us remember who we are and what we stand for.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed right now, you’re not broken. You’re perceptive. You’re paying attention.
Let yourself grieve. Let yourself rest. Let yourself rage if you need to.

And when you’re ready, Justice whispers:
You still matter. Your choices still matter. Your voice still matters.
Even small acts ripple.
Lighting a candle with intention. Donating when you can. Checking on your people. Sharing resources. Voting. Showing up. Staying human.
All of it counts.

You don’t have to carry everything. But you are part of the weave.

Justice isn’t about perfection. It’s about devotion.
Devotion to truth. Devotion to care.
 Devotion to a world that hasn’t fully arrived yet — but is being dreamed into existence anyway.

We keep going.
 Together.
