Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at Gina preparing Puracyn, something we use quite a bit in the office. It doesn’t get much attention online, but it plays an important role in the recovery process.

Puracyn is a gentle cleansing solution we use to keep surgical sites and treated skin clean without irritation. It helps reduce bacteria on the surface of the skin while supporting the body’s natural healing response, especially after laser treatments, incisions, or procedures where the skin needs a little extra care.

One of the first questions we ask during a consultation is about your height and weight. It’s not about numbers on a scale or how you “should” look; it’s about safety. ✅

Your BMI gives us an initial idea of how your body may respond to anesthesia, how your tissues will heal, and the overall risk level of surgery. Certain procedures carry higher complication rates at higher BMIs, and part of my job is to minimize those risks as much as possible.
