Legacy Health & Wellness formed in early 2011 as a partnership between RoyOMartin and Gilchrist Construction Company, L.L.C. Formerly known as the Central Louisiana Family Health and Wellness Center, Legacy expanded its services to include AFCO Industries, Inc. Legacy Health & Wellness offers care from a board-certified physician, Brian Elkins, M.D., FAAFP, who is supported by a full team of medical and administrative professionals. The clinic offers employees and eligible dependents from AFCO, Gilchrist Construction, and RoyOMartin healthy-lifestyle coaching and treatment for minor injuries and a variety of common illnesses and chronic conditions. Meet the Team: John Hall, MHA, FNP

When John Hall first joined Legacy Health & Wellness in 2014, he brought with him decades of experience, a heart for service, and a passion for helping others thrive. Now serving as a primary-care provider at Legacy Health & Wellness, John leads with purpose, supporting the health and well-being of all patients.

John has worked in the healthcare field for more than 27 years. His background spans primary care, occupational health, injury management, and wellness. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and two master's degrees in Health Administration and Advanced Practice Nursing. He is also board-certified as a family nurse practitioner.

"I love healthcare because it is a job and a ministry. The people we see are more than patients, they are my family."

Whether he's treating patients, mentoring new providers, or developing systems that promote long-term wellness, he always keeps people at the center of his work.

"I've been fortunate to work with some incredible people across this practice," he says.

Meet the Team: Tiffany Theriot, LPN

Since joining Legacy in April 2015, licensed practical nurse Tiffany Theriot has quietly become one of the most essential forces behind the scenes.

Tiffany’s passion lies in making sure everything runs smoothly so others can focus on what matters most. From managing inventory for everything from flu vaccines to bandages, to running quality control checks on in-house testing, to handling prior authorizations, Tiffany makes sure patients get what they need without delay.

RSV can be severe for infants and young children. You can help protect them by practicing good habits:
✔️ Wash your hands often.
✔️ Limit exposure to crowds during peak season.
✔️ Stay home if you’re sick.
❌ Refrain from kissing babies and small children.
❌ Don’t assume a mild cold in an adult is harmless to a baby. RSV often looks like a cold at first.
❌ Don’t visit newborns or infants if you’re feeling sick.

Meet the Team: Ali Hathorn

When you walk into Legacy Health & Wellness, there is a good chance you will find Ali Hathorn, Pharm.D., doing what she does best serving others with care, clarity, and compassion. For the past 7.5 years, she has played a key role in helping our team members stay healthy and informed.

“I’m passionate about pharmacy because it gives me the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives,” she says. “I value the trust our patients place in me to provide safe, effective care, and I truly appreciate the personal relationships that come with that responsibility.”

What sets Legacy apart, according to Ali, is the teamwork. “Our pharmacy, providers, and nurses all work hand in hand. That collaboration allows us to deliver care that is personal, responsive, and truly centered around each patient.”

In February 2018, Legacy Pharmacy opened in Suite E of the Legacy Medical Building in Alexandria, Louisiana. Ali Hathorn, Doctor of Pharmacy, is the licensed pharmacist at Legacy Pharmacy.

Legacy Pharmacy offers a variety of medications. For our members’ convenience, common medications are kept in stock on site and can be filled immediately after a visit to Legacy Health & Wellness. Additional drugs may be ordered upon request with a valid prescription. Mail-order options are also available.
