Alomere Health is a team of trusted health care professionals, including Alexandria Clinic and Heartland Orthopedic Specialists, bringing innovative and individualized care to our community. Becoming Alomere Health:
For a hospital that now serves over 150 zip codes throughout central Minnesota, the name Douglas County Hospital no longer conveys who we really are. And, as an integrated healthcare organization that includes one hospital and three clinics, each operating under different names—Douglas County Hospital, Heartland Orthopedic Specialists, Alexandria Clinic and Osakis Clinic—the time has come to bring our team together under one unifying brand. The name Alomere Health represents an exciting new chapter for healthcare in central Minnesota. Nothing has changed with our mission and vision. But everything has changed with our potential. With our new name and brand, we have the focus to become even better on behalf of you—the neighbors, friends, family and community we serve. We’re incredibly proud of our history, and we look forward to our future together. For more information about our history, visit AlomereHealth.com/HereForLife.

We’re proud to shine a light on our Alomere Relay for Life team, and especially Paul Westerberg, Sports Medicine & Clinic Supervisor from Heartland Orthopedics for turning creativity into something truly meaningful this holiday season.

Paul, an active member of our Relay for Life team, came up with the idea to design custom Christmas ornaments to raise funds for Relay for Life. Each ornament is made of engraved wood, featuring the word hope and a flame, carefully created using a laser engraver. A special detail makes them even more unique: when placed on your tree, the flame can connect to a Christmas tree light, allowing it to glow.

Thank you, Paul for the creativity, time, and hard work that went into making these beautiful ornaments. Our hope is to make this an annual, collectible tradition—featuring a new design each year.

A handful of ornaments are still available for purchase for $10 each, with 100% of proceeds donated to our local Relay for Life. Ornaments can be purchased in the Alomere Gift Shop.
Gift shop hours: Mon-Fri 7:00-4:30, Sat 9:00-5:00 and Sun 11:00-4:00. (Christmas eve: closed at Noon & Christmas day: closed)

We’re so grateful to C&L Distributing for their generous donation of $4,888 to our Cancer Center. A portion of their Michelob Ultra sales during the month of October was donated in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
