Neck + shoulder pain? Yeah, it's complicated.
Not just 'you sit too much.' Those posterior neck muscles are stacked in layers—superficial for power moves, deep for precision control. Tension in any of them (from posture, stress, overuse, or wear-and-tear) = pain that shoots to your shoulders and head.
The trap, splenius, semispinalis, suboccipitals... all connected, all can betray you.
