✨Empathy Matters in Relationships✨
Have you ever had someone respond without empathy after they hurt or betrayed you? This may be a sign that you are in a relationship with someone who is empathy-deficient. Unfortunately, many have not experienced or been taught empathy. There are 3 types of empathy. Compassionate empathy is considered by some to be the most powerful form of empathy, and the most needed for any type of relationship you’re in. Are you fluent or deficient in empathy? What about your partner?
1. **Cognitive Empathy** 🧠✨
~ Example: “I understand why you’re upset about the situation; let’s talk it through.”
2. **Emotional Empathy** 💖😢
~ Example: “I feel your pain, and it makes me so sad to see you hurt.”
3. **Compassionate Empathy**🫶🏾🤝🏾
~ Example: “I see how this is affecting you. How can I help make it better?”
