The Physician & Midwife Collaborative Practice was born out of the notion that as medicine and technology advances, “care” should still be the foundation of providing medical care to women. We focus on providing compassion, education and support in tandem with the best medical course of action for the individual. By bringing together board-certified OB/GYNs and midwives, we are able to provide our

patients with high-touch care in combination with the latest medical technology. This may translate to planning for a natural childbirth with a first-time mother or creating a comprehensive treatment plan, including exercise for a woman who is struggling with menopause. We also do our best to keep this level of care accessible, by offering multiple providers, four office locations, extensive office hours, and 24/7 on-site staff at Inova Alexandria Hospital. In order to respond efficiently and accurately to your needs, we also maintain electronic medical records and offer centralized support staff who can access your lab results and quickly set appointments. 📢 Our New Patient Portal Launches Next Week!

Reminder: Physicians & Midwives of Advantia will be transitioning to a new Patient Portal and intake platform on Tuesday, April 28.

No one talks about pelvic organ prolapse…but it’s more common than you might think.
It affects 1 in 4 women in their 40s and 1 in 3 women in their 60s, yet many women feel too embarrassed to bring it up or assume it’s just a normal part of aging.

Pelvic organ prolapse happens when the muscles and tissues supporting your pelvic organs weaken, causing organs like the bladder or uterus to shift out of place.

Symptoms can include pelvic pressure, discomfort during s*x, urinary or bowel changes, or even a noticeable bulge.

The most important thing to know: you don’t have to live with it.

There are effective, personalized treatment options available depending on your symptoms and lifestyle.

If something doesn’t feel right, trust your body and don’t hesitate to talk to your provider: https://ow.ly/1sJW50YCZE1

Our practice prioritizes accessibility to our providers and responsiveness to the needs of our patients. These staff also have secured access to our patients’ electronic medical records.
