APTA successfully advocated for updates to Aetna’s Physical Therapy Clinical Policy Bulletin, expanding descriptions for key CPT codes and including telehealth as a delivery option.

APTA Private Practice is continuing to monitor the impact of the federal government shutdown on Medicare payments.

CMS has updated its guidance to indicate that MACs will now be sending payments to practices that have provided services reimbursed under Medicare Part B since October 1, but some uncertainties remain. Claims for outpatient therapy services delivered via telehealth will continue to be held.
