We were excited to welcome the Central Region 4-H Beyond Ready Career Exploration Camp to Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center.

4-H is known for preparing students to be “Beyond Ready” for the workforce, and we were proud to give these future professionals a behind-the-scenes look at careers in orthopaedics and sports medicine.

Students had the opportunity to learn about:
• Clinical roles like Medical Assistants, Radiology Techs, NPs, and PAs
• Imaging services including X-ray and MRI
• Surgery coordination and joint replacement education
• Business careers in marketing, human resources, billing, coding, and administration

Healthcare takes an entire team — not just physicians — and we loved showing them how every department plays a vital role in patient care.

Thank you to Central Region 4-H for spending the day with us. The future of healthcare looks bright.

Big news for our military community 🇺🇸

Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center is now accepting TRICARE West through TriWest Healthcare Alliance, credentialed with both CHRISTUS Health Plan and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

After months of negotiations and patience through the credentialing process, it’s official — and it’s a big one. By partnering with both underwriters, we’ve eliminated the confusion about which plan we can accept. If you have TRICARE West, we’re ready for you.

Central Louisiana has a strong military presence, and we’re proud to care for those who serve our country and their families.

Yesterday, our Annual Manager Meeting was held at the Courtyard by Marriott, where our Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center leaders came together for a day focused on growth, alignment, and sharpening our skills.

Thank you to Dara, Avery, Sarah, Lakin, and Scott for leading impactful sessions, and a special thank you to Pastor James Greer for reminding us that leadership is both influence and responsibility.

Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center is proud to support Dr. Randell and the team participating in Operation Geaux’s Nepal Joint Replacement Mission, an incredible effort to provide life-changing joint replacement surgery to patients who have no access to this care.

In support of this mission, a Pulled Pork Plate Lunch Fundraiser will be held at Calvary Baptist Church:

📅 Thursday, February 26th
⏰ Pickup begins at 11:00 AM
📍 Calvary Baptist Church
💲 $10 per plate (pulled pork sandwich, chips, and a cookie)

All proceeds will benefit the mission trip.

We encourage businesses, clinics, churches, and organizations to consider bulk orders (10+ plates) for staff lunches or team meals.

🚗 Delivery is available for orders of 10 or more.
