AASLD is launching a new national initiative to improve the early detection of liver fibrosis and MASLD. Through this effort, we will convene experts across disciplines to develop consensus recommendations and practical strategies for systematic liver disease detection. Boehringer Ingelheim serves as the lead supporter and primary funding partner for the project.

“AASLD is proud to lead this effort by convening experts and partners across the healthcare ecosystem to advance practical solutions for earlier detection and better patient outcomes,” said Saul J. Karpen, MD, PhD, FAASLD, President of AASLD.

Earlier detection means more opportunities to connect patients with appropriate care and improve long-term outcomes.
