3 years of loving you & I wouldn’t trade it for anything. ⠀

I guess it’s true time really does fly by when you’re having fun. ⠀

These past 3 years have been the absolute best & I can’t believe it’s been that long. All the memories we have made together I’ll forever cherish & be thankful for. I can’t wait to see what this crazy life brings us & the pups. ⠀

Anthony I love you. Thanks for being the best.

Choose to set yourself up for success. ⠀

Find what works for YOU personally. It might take some trial & error, but once you find “your thing” it’s a freaking game changer. ⠀

I’ve found moving my body first thing in the morning is what works for me.⠀

It might surprise you, BUT I have way more energy when I get up early and workout. The days I lay in bed and get that extra hour of sleep is when I feel SLOW AF. ⠀

So, to set myself up for a successful day I get up and get active. ⠀

It really is as simple as that. ⠀

I don’t even have to come up with my workouts. I literally login to my account to a “Netflix of workouts”. No joke. ⠀

It’s so simple. Dummy proof honestly. The hardest part is just getting up outta bed 🤪 ⠀

Just make your life a little bit easier and find what works for you. I promise you will not regret it. @ Alfred, New York

Disconnecting from the world is exactly what a good self care day looks like over here. ⠀

The biggest thing I do for myself when it comes to self care is workout everyday. Working out is the perfect outlet to release any negative feelings. It’s something I rely on for my sanity at this point 😂⠀

BUT sometimes I need/want something a little more. That’s where camping is now going to come into play. Recently Anthony and I went camping with the dogs for a night. ⠀

When I say it was the most fun & relaxing thing, IT WAS. ⠀

HANDS DOWN SO FUN. ⠀

I haven’t been since I was like really little, so it was a freaking blast going with my little family. Anthony and I had so much fun and so did the pups. ⠀

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. ⠀

Camping will definitely be something Anthony & I will be doing a lot more. ⠀

What does a good self care day look like for you?!

Remember to always speak kind words. ⠀

One thing I will never understand is why it is so easy to speak hurtful words. ⠀

You never know what is going on behind the scenes of someone’s life. That girl that always who is radiating positive energy could go home every night at struggle with any number of things. ⠀

That girl who alway gets made fun of but laughs it off, could go home and cry about it in private. ⠀

So many things can go unseen. ⠀

Here is my reminder to you to remember to speak kind words. Demonstrate acts of kindness. Be a helping hand. ⠀

Be the person that makes someone’s day better. Be the person they will remember as the one who was always kind. Together we can make this crazy world just a little bit more kind & welcoming. Do your part.

✨STOP YOUR SCROLL✨ ⠀

Answer this question with the very first two things that come to mind. Think quick here. ⠀

Ready?⠀

What are your two top priorities everyday?⠀

I’m going to guess that you didn’t include yourself in those two things. If you did, power to you. Keep doing what you’re doing ❤️ ⠀

BUT reality is most of us tend to put ourselves on the bottom of that list. I think we’re all guilty of doing this at one time or another. I think we all tend to care for the people around us first. ⠀

My next question...how are we supposed to care for the people around us if we aren’t first caring for ourselves? ⠀

If we aren’t fueling our bodies with what we need, how do we expect ourselves to care for others at our full potential? Well...we can’t. ⠀

If we aren’t mentally there because we haven’t done a mental check in for weeks, we won’t be able to focus. If we haven’t had a vegetable in days and we’re living off junk, how do we expect to keep up with kids, pets, jobs, etc. ⠀

Are you getting the point yet? If we’re zombies in our own lives how on earth can we expect so much from ourselves??⠀

The people around you feed off your energy. They feed off what you put out. If you’re putting out minimal energy they’re going to sense that and do the same. If you’re constantly complaining about things, they’ll see that too and do the same. ⠀

It’s time to put you and your health first. Mentally & physically it’s time to put yourself on the very TOP of that list. ⠀

And it’s not being selfish. It’s doing what you need to do so you can feel you best. So you can be happy and so the people around you can feed off that positive energy too!

This one is to my former athletes....⠀

You know that feeling of being surrounded by your team? That feeling of community? The best feeling right?! ⠀

Well...for a lot of us, it stops one day. And that’s a scary feeling. Like where do I belong now? I’ve always been an athlete on some team. ⠀

Once that all goes away it’s freaking sad & scary. I hated it. Like a lot. ⠀

After I graduated I had 0 motivation to stay active or to eat well. I was sitting around all day eating junk. Talk about change right?! Going from having practice & games everyday to nothing wasn’t an easy transition. Andddd it eventually caught up to me. I started to see physical & mental changes that I HATED. ⠀

But then it all changed. I found something that was the perfect opportunity for me to get active again && it gave me that community aspect again. ⠀

Basically it gave me everything I needed to feel normal again. I think I’ll always be an athlete at heart and the fact that I found something to fill that part of me is a gift. ⠀

So I’m here to say if you’re feeling lost too, you don’t have to. The opportunity is always here. This community is seriously to welcoming it crazy. Finding other women just like me that push me to be better is AMAZING. ⠀

Come join the family. I promise you won’t regret it. @ Rochester, New York

In case you need to hear this too....⠀

Not everyday is going to go how you might want it to, and it’s okay. The hard days are where we learn the most about ourselves. ⠀

Today was supposed to be leg day. I tried to modify the moves as much as possible & took it super easy. Now, I LOVE leg day. It’s my favorite day. All yesterday I was looking forward to burning out my legs today. ⠀

Well...that didn’t happen. I had to skip it and move on. I was SUPER bummed about it. I am still bummed about it tbh. ⠀

But tomorrow is a new opportunity for a better day & workout. Just remember it’s okay to have bad days.⠀

We don’t talk about it, but it happens to us all. ⠀

Keep your head up and keep moving sis. We got this. @ Alfred, New York

7.28.20⠀

The start of a new 6 week program. Taking before pictures and posting them here to keep myself accountable & so y’all can keep me held accountable.⠀

Yesterday I scheduled my surgery to get my ACL repaired. I’m now just realizing I haven’t made a post telling you guys about it!⠀

SO...about two weeks I was walking Prince and he saw our neighbors pup and pulled and I stepped funny to stop him, and that’s how it happened 😂 I can’t help but laugh about it because it was such an odd situation for it to happen.⠀

I felt & heard the pop but I’m a little stubborn when it comes to going to the doctors so I didn’t go. Then a couple weeks later I was on a run and it buckled & gave out so fell again and hurt it. It was swollen sooo I figured okay two times is enough I guess I should get it looked at. ⠀

Turns out I completely tore my ACL off my femur bone. WHOOPS LOL⠀

So ya girl has to get that fixed in 7 weeks.⠀

I’m a little bummed I won’t be able to run the half marathon or run in general, but I’m SO looking forward to running again when I’m able. ⠀

So here is to the next 7 weeks of hard work before I can’t for a bit. ⠀

A lot of work will be going down all from my kitchen...literally LOL ⠀

I workout from the kitchen & I’ll be taking my nutrition plan more seriously. ⠀

LETS GET IT 💪🏼 ⠀

If you’re interested in joining me, the door is always open gf. Let’s do this thing together. @ Hornell, New York
