It's week two of National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and ESI celebrated with “Hat Day”—and just like the unique hats everyone wore, each person brings their own special style, strengths, and personality to our community. 🧢🎩👒

It’s a great reminder that our differences make the world more colorful, creative, and inclusive. 💙

Developmental Disability Awareness Month is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the fact that everyone belongs and that every person adds something uniquely valuable to our community. At ESI, we kicked off the week in style with pajama day and created colorful handprint art showcasing our clients’ individuality and creativity. We’re grateful to celebrate the unique strengths of each person—not just during the month of March, but every day. 💛

The Governor has proclaimed March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in Wisconsin!

At ESI, we are proud to honor this month and reaffirm our dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities in leading fulfilling, meaningful lives. Together, we continue to build a community rooted in dignity, connection, and understanding. ✨

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month! Governor Tony Evers has officially proclaimed March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in Wisconsin! The month/proclamation is meant to raise awareness about the contributions people with developmental disabilities make in all areas of community life, as well as awareness to the barriers that people with disabilities still face in connecting to their communities. You can read the full proclamation below.

We will be sharing posts on our social media to celebrate DDAM so stay tuned.

Another busy and beautiful spring-like week at ESI! The warm weather had everyone in great spirits this week.

• One MyCommunity group enjoyed a pizza lunch at Millie's Pub and Grub, while another had a blast watching the Singing Zoologist perform at the Southern Door Community Auditorium. 🍕🎶🦁

• Day Service wrapped up their week of Olympic Games with a closing ceremony—complete with certificates of achievement and medals for all our amazing participants. 🏅✨

By empowering and supporting each other, we continue to shape a community where everyone thrives. 💛

❄️With the World Winter Olympics underway, we kicked off our very own ESI Olympics to celebrate the spirit of competition, fun, and togetherness! Our clients enjoyed a full lineup of games, including Wii sports, bowling, ladder golf, and a ball and cone challenge—and the smiles said it all. 😊

Events like these remind us how important movement, inclusion, and meaningful engagement are for everyone. No matter the activity, every participant had the chance to shine, cheer each other on, and be part of something fun.

Here’s to staying active, staying connected, and celebrating abilities of all kinds! 🏅💙
