I LOVE placentas!

Around week five of gestation the umbilical cord is formed and performing its duties diligently. As the growing baby’s lifeline the umbilical cord contains one vein and two arteries to sufficiently carry nutrients to and waste from the baby through what will become the [belly button].

FUN FACT: the umbilical vein goes all the way to the fetus’s liver where it splits in two.

I cant, for the life of me, keep the ribbon straight, the ornaments in place, or the tree skirt laid out.



It makes me mull on the "real life" shot of the ..
Was Mary's more blissful because her baby was God?
Do you think she had morning sickness?
Did she squat?
Was it the "cattle lowing" or Mary moaning ?
Did she tear? (What did they even do for that anyway?!)
Did Jesus latch right away?
Was she confused at the idea that this seemingly helpless babe in arms was the , the ?

Am I alone in these questions?! 😂
