Palo Santo is a sacred wood traditionally sourced from Peru.

Like sage, it’s often used to cleanse energy — but I’ve always felt that Palo Santo goes one step further, helping to invite in positive, grounding energy as well.

The scent of Palo Santo smoke is one of my favorites, and the energetic shift after using it is something you can truly feel.

I like to use it around my home when the energy feels stagnant, and at the end of my Reiki sessions to invite positivity back into the space after releasing what no longer serves.

This card came up for me while I was connecting with the universe about Riverside Gypsy.
I was standing in the archway of the store, shuffling, when this card quite literally flew out.
And it felt so aligned.
Riverside Gypsy is so much more than just a store.
It’s a space where people can come for clarity, support, and to feel the beautiful energy that fills the room.
There is so much intention behind it, every detail reflecting the unique vision and care of the people who created it.
That place truly inspires me.
It reminds me of the kind of space I want to continue cultivating. One where people feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely seen.

Dalmatian Jasper has been one of my favorite stones since I first began collecting crystals.

Something about it immediately drew me in. I’ve always loved the energy it carries, the beautiful balance between light and dark.

It reminds me of the yin and yang symbol, holding both playful energy and protective grounding at the same time.

Dalmatian Jasper is often associated with joy, curiosity, and protection from negativity, and a reminder that life is meant to be both protected and enjoyed.

Progress

This card has come up for me often. Ever since I started using this deck, it has carried a message I seem to need again and again.

Oftentimes, we get wrapped up in comparing our chapter 2 to someone else’s chapter 7. Social media plays a huge role in that. We’re constantly seeing the happiest moments, biggest milestones, and proudest achievements of the people around us. And while there are so many beautiful things about being connected in this way, it can also quietly chip away at our self-worth and leave us comparing ourselves to others. I know I personally struggle with this.

At times, my own timeline feels scattered, unfinished, and forever evolving, which can make it hard to clearly see the accomplishments along the way.

This card invited me to sit down and reflect on the progress I’ve made from within. I’ve created stronger boundaries with myself and others. I’ve built a pathway toward turning a hobby that brings me joy into a passionate career. I’ve learned how to guide people through energetic releases and hold space for them in uncomfortable moments.

So although my progress may not look the way I imagined it would many moons ago, I’ve had to realize that progress is rarely linear. Sometimes one step forward and two steps back is still movement in the right direction, especially when you’re learning that the original path was never truly meant for you.
