As many of you know, my husband Don Winsauer, unexpectedly passed away on October 20, 2023. Thank you to my staff who rearranged schedules and took phone calls. Thank you to the understanding patients who have offered support, sent cards and showed tremendous patience with cancellations or appointment rearrangement. Thank you for the concern expressed for me and my family.

As we approach the official end of the Covid19 pandemic, we wish all well. Woohoo! We have gone to Mask Optional but Recommended status at the office. Please know that for patients over 65 and immunocompromised patients, another booster shot is recommended. Also, we are happy to see you for all your needs including routine healthcare.

Just making all the clients and friends of High Touch Medicine SC aware of an upcoming trip for Dr. Mueller. Staff will be in the office for abbreviated office hours to answer phone calls and do necessary labs and will be referring patients to appropriate covering practitioners as needed. Dr Mueller will have limited access for messages. These measures will be in effect Sept 28 through Oct 9 2022. Anybody needing controlled substances or nonroutine scrips should call before Sept 27 or wait until mid October.

Also a reminder that flu shots are available at the office or at pharmacies and that newly formulated Covid boosters are recommended at local pharmacies.

As we see Covid cases rising in the area, we at High Touch Medicine continue to recommend vaccination and continuing to follow indoor masking precautions. Vaccines are effective and easily available through local pharmacies. For those high risk patients and especially health care workers, please arrange for your booster when eligible. Vaccines give the best chance of staying out of the hospital and becoming seriously ill. Also, please remember Flu shots.

We hope you had a lovely Memorial Day Holiday. We are getting closer to resumption of normal activity in Illinois. We still encourage getting Covid vaccines for all of the proper ages so we can get back to school, work, shopping and gathering with friends and loved ones. Please call or sign up with the county Health Departments or pharmacies or hospital systems if you still need a shot. We are seeing patients so call if you have put off any health concerns and Kim or our new Medical Assistant Michelle will arrange an appointment.
