Through Tzu Chi’s Mobile Clinic, we delivered care at Baker Elementary School in El Monte, transforming a school space into a welcoming dental clinic for students on March 12.

We joined our community partners at All Saints Church for an interfaith gathering honoring the lives of unhoused Pasadena residents who passed away over the past year. Together, we remembered our unhoused neighbors with compassion, reflection, and prayer.

Across all faith traditions, one value remains constant: love. And showing love and care for our most vulnerable neighbors is what truly matters.

Our volunteers joined a memorial on February 23, 2026, at All Saints Church to honor members of Pasadena’s unhoused community who passed away over the past year.

In addition to paying tribute, our team provided dental care through the Tzu Chi Dental Mobile Clinic, helping address the significant barriers to dental services that many unhoused individuals face.

Through compassion and service, we continue working to support the health and dignity of our unhoused neighbors in Pasadena, California.

🦷💙 Mobile Dental Care at Miramonte Elementary 💙🦷

On March 5, 2026, we brought our Mobile Dental Clinic to Miramonte Elementary School in South El Monte, transforming a school space into a caring dental clinic for students.

Throughout the day, our dental team provided X-rays, examinations, and cleanings, delivering essential preventive care to students right on campus.

By bringing dental services directly to schools, we help remove barriers to care and support healthier smiles for students as they learn and grow. 🌿✨

Our volunteers recently joined a heartfelt memorial at All Saints Church in Pasadena on February 23, honoring members of the unhoused community who passed away this past year. Together with faith leaders, service organizations, and loved ones, we remembered lives that mattered and stood in solidarity with our neighbors experiencing homelessness. 🤍

Earlier in the day, we also provided free dental care through our Dental Mobile Clinic. Access to dental services remains a major barrier for many in the unhoused community. Our dentists and team members offered compassionate, high-quality care to underserved and underinsured individuals: relieving pain, restoring smiles, and supporting health and dignity.

By combining remembrance with action, we honor those we’ve lost while uplifting those still in need. 💙

💙 Honored to Serve El Monte with Compassion 💙

At the El Monte Women’s Club General Membership Meeting on February 24, 2026, representatives of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Medical Foundation attended at the invitation of Cindy Wu, Third Vice President of the Club and Board Member of the El Monte Mountain View School District.

During the Club’s annual “Giving from the Heart” month, Tzu Chi Medical Foundation was named one of the 2026 Nonprofits of the Year, alongside several dedicated community organizations. We are deeply humbled to be recognized for our ongoing service to the El Monte community.

Tzu Chi Medical was also honored with special recognitions from the California State Senate, presented by Senator Susan Rubio (22nd District), the County of Los Angeles under the leadership of Supervisor Hilda Solis (First District), and the City of El Monte Women's Club.

These honors reflect our continued commitment to serving underserved families through mobile ophthalmology and dental services, in close partnership with local schools and community organizations.

We were honored to attend the Mountain View School District’s Partner Appreciation Luncheon on February 25, 2025 💙

As a proud partner of the district, we joined fellow organizations dedicated to supporting local students and families.

Our partnership with Mountain View School District has been a longstanding one. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, our mobile clinics have provided students with vision and dental care right on campus.

By bringing care directly to schools, we help families access essential healthcare without caregivers having to miss work or lose income, and without students missing valuable class time.

We are deeply grateful to Mountain View School District for the opportunity to serve their community and for the appreciation they’ve shown. Together, we’re building healthier futures for our children.

🕯️💙 On February 23, 2026, All Saints Church in Pasadena held its 15th Annual Interfaith Memorial Service to honor unhoused community members who had passed away.

Led by Rev. Mark Chase and Thomas Diaz, the service brought together faith representatives from Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Buddhism. As each name was read, candles were lit in tribute, creating a moving moment of unity and remembrance.

Nearly 100 community members and individuals experiencing homelessness attended. Partner organizations, including the City of Pasadena Housing Department, The Shower of Hope, Union Station Homeless Services, and Tzu Chi, shared messages calling for continued compassion and care.

In his remarks, Dr. Stephen Denq, CEO of Tzu Chi USA Medical Foundation: “Tzu Chi began with charity. In serving those in poverty, we recognized that illness often leads to financial hardship. Charity and medicine are inseparable. As we carry out both charitable and medical missions, we work closely with community partners to expand our collective strength and provide better care for all.”

The evening also featured a contemporary dance tribute by Robyn Williams of Union Station and a heartfelt sign language performance of “Love Heals the World” by Tzu Chi USA Headquarters’ sign language team. The gathering concluded with a shared community dinner.

Earlier that day, Tzu Chi’s Mobile Dental Clinic provided care during the church’s weekly outreach program, serving with healing by day and remembrance by night. Tzu Chi officially joined the church’s outreach efforts on January 12, 2026. 🌿✨
