Before temperatures drop, remember to take care of:

People – Check on elderly neighbors and those who are vulnerable.

Pets – Bring pets inside and provide warm shelter.

Plants – Cover or move sensitive plants to protect them from frost.

Pipes – Insulate exposed pipes and let faucets drip if needed.

A little preparation goes a long way in keeping your home and loved ones safe this weekend.

Jim Wells County is expecting freezing weather, starting Saturday night. Now is the time to start preparing. Please check in on the Elderly, please make plans for your oudoor pets, please start wrapping your exposed pipes, and please make preparations for your outdoor plants.
