In an effort to better serve the residents of Webster County, the Webster County Health Unit is announcing changes to the hours of its clinical nursing services.
According to Scott Allen, Administrator/Health Officer, “These changes will allow us to continue providing the highest quality of care to our residents, while also giving our nursing staff dedicated time to focus on other essential public health services.”
“The public is familiar with our clinical services team for vaccines, lab services, blood pressure screenings, and more,” Allen said. “However, our nurses provide many additional services that often occur behind the scenes.”
In addition to in-clinic services, the Health Unit’s public health nurses conduct off-site vaccination clinics for schools and industry, provide home nursing visits, deliver school-based services, visit senior citizen centers, investigate and prevent communicable diseases, conduct animal bite investigations, and manage medical cases.
Effective Monday, January 5, new clinical service hours at the Health Unit will be:
• Monday and Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Tuesday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
There will be no changes to other services offered by the Webster County Health Unit. For questions or additional information, the Health Unit may be reached at 417-859-2532.
